Early Literacy Skills Builder — 2016 Revised Edition!

It’s hard to believe, but our Early Literacy Skills Builder curriculum has been improving reading outcomes for students with significant developmental disabilities for almost ten years now! This year, we decided it was time for a fresh new design and puppet while maintaining the same great lesson content.

If you’ve already looked through our 2016 catalog, you may have seen the new features highlighted, including upgraded art and design and improved readability, with a cleaner, more readable font. All the books are now in full color, for illustrations that really pop. And we’re very excited to present a new and improved Moe! This friendly frog is a big part of what makes ELSB so special, and the new puppet has a lot of personality along with durable yet soft construction.

If you’re not familiar with ELSB, here are just a few reasons
to consider it for your classroom:

Based on five years of research at UNC-Charlotte, which showed greatly improved reading outcomes (Check out this video for more info!)
Blended curriculum, including print materials, interactive software and an iPad App
(each one is also available to purchase separately)
Allows for differentiated instruction, with options for verbal or nonverbal responding
Provides scripted lessons to take the guesswork out of applying it to your class

Let us know if you have any questions about the latest edition of ELSB in the comments!
