Addressing Areas of Improvement
  • expert-advice
You’ve probably learned a lot from your staff and students this year.  In addition to celebrating success, it’s time to put a practical plan with lasting impacts in place for your school year.

How do you currently assess your autism and low incidence disability program, and service delivery models? Do you have a practical method to collect and analyze that data?   There are several critical areas for review:  environment safety & set-up, evidence-based strategies, differentiated instruction, student response modes, behavior management, and staff collaboration/interaction.

When leadership and direct service staff for low incidence disabilities collaborate and determine a limited number of areas for improvement, success is attainable.  There are many tools that allow for quick and easy data capture and analysis from paper-based to digitally-based.  Attainment has partnered with university experts across the U.S. to provide structure to improvement planning.

Planning and improvement occur in comfortable steps:

-Identify stakeholders for input & implementation

-Gather & review data

-Determine areas for improvement

-Write practical and attainable action plans

-Gather data & adjust plans (if needed)

-Celebrate improvement successes
