Practical Perspective: Celebrating Success

It’s that time of the year when we review our programs and services to identify successes and needed improvements. In the next two administrator awareness blogs, we’ll explore celebrating successes & planning for areas of improvement.

Recognizing and celebrating success leads to a strong and positive staff culture, committed to quality instruction; which, of course, leads to improved student outcomes!

Here are several quick tips to help you and your staff rejoice in your success from this year:

    • Send a thank you note to staff for a great year of instruction & achievement.
    • Send a celebrate survey to gather your staff's perspective & share the results.
    • Provide building administrators with goodies students can give to their teachers.
    • Create an online or printed success journal and have your staff submit their successes to share with everyone!
    • Stop by and surprise staff with goodies, flowers, or a note to thank them for their outstanding service to students with unique needs.

Also, a quick reminder that ALCOT is an amazing tool for administrators to easily identify program strengths and plan for effective classroom improvements!

The first 5 administrators to contact [email protected] will be provided a special teacher appreciation gift for staff! Here’s to ending the school year on a high note!
