Practical Perspective: Quality Instruction

It's hard to believe it’s December already! The next area of interest on our list of Quality Classroom Indicators is instruction! Your school curricula should ensure consistent and easy implementation for all staff (teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals). Even though teachers are well underway with providing instruction across content areas for students, it's never too late to consider the factors below.

Quality Instruction Provides:

  1. Scope & Sequence- Aligned to grade level or alternate grade level standards
  2. Scripted Instructional Steps- To encourage active student engagement and consistent staff feedback
  3. Assessments for Proficiency- To monitor student achievement

Does your current curricula ensure the three quality indicators with an ease to implementation?
