Teacher FAQs: GoWorksheet Maker 2.0

Answering your questions about the recently updated GoWorksheet Maker, Version 2.0!

When we introduced the latest version of the GoWorksheet Maker iPad App we got some excellent questions from special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents. Check out some of our favorites below with videos as reference!

Q: Can I save my work?

A: Yes, when you run out of time before finishing your worksheet, save your progress by tapping the tan filing cabinet up in the corner of the screen. Open your saved work by visiting that very same filing cabinet. Note: Upon opening a saved worksheet, that save is immediately deleted, so the app doesn’t get filled with half-finished work. You can always re-save a page manually, though.

Q: Text-to-Speech is helpful, but it would be even easier if I could record my own voice. Is that possible?

A: Great question! Yes, we have added the ability to record your own audio. Any item in the app that utilizes text-to-speech (Audio Buttons, Multiple Choice, Drag & Drop) can now be set to play an audio recording as well. When adding one of these accessibility elements, tap the “Recording” line to leave an audio recording for the student to hear.

Q: Can I incorporate video elements into worksheets?

A: Yes, just paste a YouTube link directly into one of our new Link Buttons, and enhance your worksheets with video!

Q: What’s next for GoWorksheet?

A: We’re working on the ability to have multi-page documents in Version 3.0. Let us know if there are features you’re hoping to see!

If you have additional questions, suggestions for the new GoWorksheet version, or advice for other users, please comment below! There's a lot of additional information in a recently recorded webinar here on the product pagetoo!

Note: If you currently have the GoWorksheet App and don’t notice these new features, check to see if the update is available.

  • Is this a one time purchase of $20 for the Go Worksheet Maker app? Are there additional payments?

      Hi Kassi,
Thanks for your question! It is a one-time $20 cost for GoWorksheet Maker. Once in a while, we'll update the app and release a new version, which will be available as a free update at the App Store.

  • Hi
I am using GoWorksheet to create three (write) math assignments on the daily math concepts. However, I can not program how many points a student can receive if a specific answer is entered in the short answer squares! How to award points for specific answer?
Suggestions: why not adding a feature that convert students scores into graphs to monitor progress! It will be very meaningful

    • Hi Nora,
Thank you for your interest in our GoWorksheet App! Unfortunately the functionality that you describe isn’t possible in the app. The logic within the app is only capable of knowing if a short answer question has been answered or not. It is not able to detect what is actually entered in the box. As for your suggestion on tracking results for monitoring progress - I’ll gladly pass along this suggestion to our software department. It’s suggestions like this that help us to improve our apps and meet the needs of the people who use them. Thanks for sharing with us!

I have a student who cannot access a tablet and does everything using a specialized pc. Is there a way to use this on pc or is there a similar program that would work?

  • I need to be able to modify a workbook page to cut out sections, so that students has fewer problems on a page, then enlarge font, simplify language, etc. Is this something that GoWorksheet Maker can do? Then ideally could reprint page and although student's page is simplified, it is very similar and student would be able to engage in class discussions and contribute on the ones that they are being required to know. Thanks.

      Hi Susan,
Thank you for your inquiry! GoWorkheet allows teachers to add digital answer sections and recorded verbal cues to support a variety of students' needs, but does not create the flexibility to edit the text and structure of the original worksheet. If you have more questions, please feel free to email [email protected] to work with one of our app specialists.
