The Explore Algebra curriculum teaches students about integers, solving equations, probability, and factoring polynomials. Real-world problems related to algebra are included as activities. The curriculum is aligned to standards for students in grades 9-12.
Explore Algebra includes Student Books with 10 chapters of content, each split into four topics. Each topic opens with an introductory statement from a mathematician, a topic-related illustration, and highlighted vocabulary that is explored within the text/dialog. QR codes link to videos showing how the algebra tiles can be used for the topic objective. Challenge lessons and Chapter Check-ups are also included.
Student Workbooks (presented as a 2-book set) are included to coincide with the lesson content.
The accompanying Instructor's Guide incorporates detailed lesson plans for all chapter topics that embed evidence-based practices. It also includes tips on how to use the included Algebra Tiles and Coordinate Plane, allowing students to understand difficult concepts through hands-on learning.
Content-based activities permit instructors to enhance student learning and foster engagement. Content-specific UDL charts are provided at the start of each lesson to meet the needs of all learners in the classroom.
For students who struggle to bridge concrete to abstract concepts, we've created an alternate level, Level A, by lessening the complexity of the text and emphasizing the big ideas. This version is available digitally to easily project or print off to students in class.

Curriculum Plus Includes: The Curriculum plus 10 sets of Consumable Student Workbooks (10 copies of Book One and 10 copies of Book Two), the entire page set of Student Workbook pages as accessible GoWorksheets (iPad only), and samples of communication overlays. The GoWorksheets can be used with the free GoWorksheet app or the full GoWorksheet Plus app available on the App Store.
