Enhance: Earth Science enriches Earth science lessons through a multimedia approach. The Enhance Kit includes a How To Guide, 60 Big Idea Cards, 60 original videos, and an Earth and Jupiter model to provide for hands-on learning. It also introduces new, content-related vocabulary terms embedded into each Big Idea Card. Each Big Idea Card includes reading passages and a QR code leading to video animations demonstrating difficult topics in a simplified way. A specific fact related to the big idea, labeled "Did You Know?" is featured in each Big Idea Card to pique student interest. The provided Earth and Jupiter models foster discussion and allow for students to better understand abstract topics, including Earth's layers, weather events, and tectonic plates. The Jupiter model demonstrates a scale model of the other planets in our solar system. The Examine It! section in each Big Idea Card details how to use the Earth and Jupiter models to best support student understanding of the specific big idea. Some suggestions include online resources and materials.
