ERSB is a multi-year reading program that addresses the five components of effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. It was written for students who have moderate-to-severe intellectual disabilities, including autism, but students with mild disabilities may also find the pace and discrete steps helpful. Built on systematic instruction, the 26 levels in the curriculum move students from an early literacy level to a second grade reading level.
