The Explore World History Software is an online course that covers standards-based history content through a multimedia approach: anticipatory sets, vocabulary ID and comprehension, text-to-speech reading passages, videos, quizzes, and term tests. Teach a grade-aligned world history course that covers early humans, civilizations, empires, and medieval to modern times. Sixty Big Ideas, including 60 corresponding videos, content-specific vocabulary terms, and comprehension and writing activities, are all included in the online course. To help differentiate instruction, the software includes an alternate level, Level A, for students who need symbol supports and minimal text.
To reinforce student learning and enhance student engagement, we've integrated a reward structure. Students celebrate vocabulary victories, content conquests, and video adventures with colorful badges and souvenirs, like stamps, trophies, and artifacts, as they progress through the course. A base station serves as a gateway to exploratory adventures in Southeast Asia, the Galapagos Islands, and the American Southwest. Students can also earn coins for rewards in the avatar store or play arcade games to acknowledge their individual successes! Sound effects, music, and the gamification (e.g., reward system) can all be turned off or customized for each student.
Progress is tracked instantly, noting correct and incorrect responses, as well as needed prompts. Term tests can be used as both pre- and post-assessments to determine present levels of performance and content mastery.
Reinforce the online content with our Explore World History Curriculum to promote hands-on learning and extended activities. Try our Explore Earth Science Software, an ideal companion to the Explore World History software to learn about early life on Earth; both titles are part of Attainment's Courseware.
